Democrats win all four Coatesville council seats
by Allen Davis Staff Writer Posted: Thursday, 5 November. 2009; 10 p.m. Coatesville voters in Coatesville game the Democrats a clean sweep of all four council seats whose candidates easily defeated their Republican oppoents. Jarrell Brazzle was the big Democrat vote getter to win one of two at-large seats with 578 votes. The other seat was won by Brazzle's running mate, Joe Hamrick with 483 votes. Joe 'Zeke' Disciullo and Fran Schering, both Republicans, got only 321 and 225 votes, respectively. Karl Marking, a Democrat, easily one the Fourth Ward council seat defeating Eric Lacerte, 155 to 51 votes. In the Second Ward Democrat Ingrid Jones was unopposed; she got 156 votes. On other Coatesville races, John Anderson, Lamont Sellars, Kenny Hopton and Kareem Johnson were elected constables.. Johnson decided not to seek a second term as city council member. In the Fifth Ward, incumbent constable Ronald Suber (D) tied with Ricky Campbell (R); both got 84 votes.
