The Friday night fire that destroyed a mobile home on Buck Run Road in East Fallowfield Township has been declared and arson by the Chester County Arson task force. The task force is composed of city, county, state and federal law enforcement officials.

The mobile home is owned by Charles and Desiree Miles. The fire struck about 11:40 p.m., Friday night. Mrs Miles was home alone, but was able to escape. The family lost everything in the fire.

Authorities say while the fire resembles similar traits to the arsons in Coatesville, they can't say at this time if the fires are linked.

The East Fallowfield fire brings to 23 the number of arsons that have occurred in the Coatesville area since the beginning of the year. Several of those fires have occurred in municipalities bordering Coatesville. On Jan. 31 four fires were ruled arson: two in Valley Township, one in Modena and one in Sadsbury Township.

The Chester County Arson Task Force has established a $20,000 reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the fires. The number is 484-356-6109.
