A suspect wanted on attempted homicide charges was one of six individuals rounded up Wednesday in a warrant sweep throughout Coatesville.

According to police, the recently formed Chester County Fugitive Apprehension Unit targeted high to mid level risk offenders with outstanding warrants for their arrest.

A total of six individuals were taken into custody without incident who were wanted on outstanding warrants from attempted homicide and related charges to probation violations , violations of abuse orders, and outstanding parole violations.

One individual picked up in the sweep was found to have illegal drugs in his possession. He was charged with drug-related charges.

Police said the unit will be conducting additional warrant sweeps in the future.

The unit is comprised of individuals from city police, county detectives, state police, U.S. marshals, county sheriff's department and the state Board of Probation and Parole.
